General Rental Conditions

1. Taking charge of the equipment

The hirer takes delivery of the equipment in good working order and must report any complaint to the lessor at the time of collection.

2. Return of equipment

The hirer must return the equipment at the end of the rental period, during opening hours, in perfect condition. Lost or damaged accessories will be invoiced at published rates.

3. Extension

Only possible with the prior agreement of the lessor before the end of the current contract. The lessor may refuse without giving a reason.

4. Minimum age

The hirer must be of legal age.

5. Prices

Valid prices are those published by the hire company and in its brochures.

6. Breakage and theft cover (if subscribed)

Protection against partial or total breakage, theft by assault, burglary, or when the bike is secured to a fixed point. Excess: 10% of the repair bill (min. 30 €) for breakage; 10% of the cycle value for irreparable damage or theft.

7. Helmets

An approved helmet is provided free of charge.

8. Hirer's liability

The hirer uses the equipment with care and in accordance with the safety instructions. The hirer is liable for all personal injury and material damage caused during the rental. Competition use is prohibited. DolceVia accepts no liability for any damage suffered or caused by the hirer.

9. Security deposit

A bank card imprint is required as a deposit against loss, theft, or damage to the equipment.

10. Applicable law

This contract is governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, mediation (conventional or judicial) may be initiated. Failing resolution, the court of jurisdiction will be that of Paris.

11. Cancellation

More than 15 days before: 100% refund.

Between 96 hours and 15 days before: 50% refund.

Less than 96 hours before: 0% refund.

12. Excess in case of theft or breakage

Riese & Müller, Gravel & Road bike (carbon), Cargo: 2,500 € (450 € with insurance)

Voltaire Bike, Road bike & Gravel: 1,000 € (350 € with insurance)

VTC A200: 500 € (150 € with insurance)

13. Personal data protection (GDPR)

As part of the rental process, DolceVia collects and processes your personal data (name, ID, bank card imprint) solely for the purpose of managing the rental contract and, where applicable, taking out breakage and theft insurance with our partner Tulipe. This data is retained for the legally applicable period.
