Paris – Maisons-Laffitte by Bike: Cycling Along the Seine

🚴‍♂️ Rent a bike with DolceVia. The departure is from the Parvis of Notre-Dame, in the heart of Paris. You will start your adventure by following Boulevard Sébastopol, one of the most frequented cycling routes in the capital. You will find a bidirectional bike lane there, so be sure to stay to the right to facilitate overtaking.

📍 Next, head towards Place de la République, turning right onto Rue de Turbigo. You will reach the Canal Saint-Martin, a very popular spot for cyclists. Ride along the canal for nearly 2 kilometers, enjoying the small locks and picturesque footbridges. Upon reaching Place Stalingrad, you will find a new body of water, the Bassin de la Villette.

📍 Continue along the Quai de la Seine for about 1.5 km. The bike lane will guide you to the Canal Saint-Denis, a site dedicated to urban art, known as Street Art Avenue.

Join the Seine, which you will follow until lunch in Chatou, a charming town located on the banks of the Seine, about 30 km from Paris. This bucolic place is ideal for relaxing by the water or discovering typical restaurants. You can stroll along the quays or enjoy the tranquility of the area before continuing your journey.

📍 After your break, continue to follow the Seine. You will discover the wonderful castle of the Count of Monte-Cristo as well as the charming town of Saint-Germain-en-Laye before reaching Maisons-Laffitte.

📍 Maisons-Laffitte is the perfect place for an end-of-day bike ride, with its green spaces and calm atmosphere. A lovely stop before continuing your adventure or taking a well-deserved break.
