🚲 Embark on a 50 km cycling adventure from Paris to Meaux, following the Ourcq Canal to start the Paris-Épernay cycling adventure with DolceVia .
🌳 Ride along the Ourcq Canal, where you will pass through the Poudrerie Park, a perfect spot for a moment of peace before continuing your journey. Then, pass through Claye-Souilly before reaching Meaux.
🏰 In Meaux, discover the Museum of the Great War, which recently opened its 800 m² immersive trench on November 11, 2024. Dive into the history of World War I through rich and educational exhibitions.
🍽️ Don’t miss the Meaux Saint-Faron Cheese Shop to discover and taste the famous Brie de Meaux.

🚲 Start the second day of the Paris-Épernay cycling trip from Meaux to Château-Thierry, passing through La Ferté-sous-Jouarre, a picturesque town by the Marne River.
🍽️ In La Ferté-sous-Jouarre, take a break at Fromagerie Ganot, specializing in Brie Noir, a local specialty. You can enjoy lunch in La Ferté-sous-Jouarre or in a nearby village.
🌳 Next, follow the Marne Valley and gently climb up to the plateau. The route passes through forests and fields, offering beautiful views.
🏰 Before reaching Château-Thierry, cross the valley of the Clignon River and enjoy the scenery. Château-Thierry is a historic town, with some remains of its castle.
📚 It is also the birthplace of Jean de La Fontaine, the author of the famous fables. The town was also the site of two major battles: the battle of 1814 and the battle of 1918.

🚲 Today, you enter the Champagne region. Your journey begins in Dormans, a village on the Marne River with a castle and a chapel commemorating the Battle of the Marne, where significant fighting took place during World War I.
🥂 You will climb to Châtillon-sur-Marne, offering views of the Marne Valley and the Champagne vineyards.
🏰 You will also pass by the Château de Boursault, built in 1848 by the widow of Monsieur Cliquot, who gave her name to the famous Veuve Clicquot champagne.
🍷 Champagne Tasting: Stop for a tasting at Maison Guy Charbaut just before reaching Épernay.
