Day 1: Paris - Lagny-sur-Marne: bike escape along the Marne (40 km)
🚲 Set off for a bike escape between Paris and Lagny-sur-Marne, an ideal first step to discover the Marne differently, blending nature, heritage, and a sweet way of life.
🌿 From the first pedal strokes, follow the Père-Lachaise Cemetery, then cross the Bois de Vincennes, a true green lung of the capital. You will then reach the banks of the Marne, where the ride becomes peaceful and lush.
🏡 Along the way, take the time to stroll through the charming towns of Nogent-sur-Marne, Neuilly-sur-Marne, Gournay-sur-Marne, and Vaires-sur-Marne. Each offers its own guinguette atmosphere and bucolic views of the river.

Day 2: Sailing on the Marne, then returning to Paris by bike (18 km)
🛥️ Board the cruise boat from the port of Lagny-sur-Marne, quai de la Gourdine, right across from the Flolies sur Marne, at 9 AM. Bring your bike on board (cost: €6) for a peaceful cruise to Neuilly-sur-Marne. (click here to book your cruise ticket, note that the cruise only takes place one weekend per month, so be sure to check the dates).
🌊 For 2 hours, sail on the Marne through a landscape blending nature and industrial traces. The boat follows the Canal de Chelles, built in the 19th century to bypass the Noisiel dam, alongside the parc départemental de la Haute-Île, a true refuge for the wildlife and flora of wetland areas. The cruise is not narrated, but it offers a lovely interlude along the water.
🍴 Upon arrival in Neuilly-sur-Marne, enjoy a green space for a picnic or settle on the terrace at la Guinguette de l’Écluse, an iconic spot by the Marne, or at the Halles de Neuilly, right across from the Saint-Baudile church.
🚲 To conclude this getaway, take your bike from Neuilly-sur-Marne back to Paris, on an 18 km route along the banks. You will pass through Nogent-sur-Marne and cross the Bois de Vincennes one last time, perfect for ending the day gently.
