Head towards Lignières-Orgères , in the heart of the Normandie-Maine Regional Natural Park , for a well-deserved nature break. 🌳 The day starts smoothly in Le Mêle-sur-Sarthe , a charming village nestled between river and greenery. Then, head towards the vast forests and rolling hills of the Normandie-Maine Park . Here, it’s all about peace and wide-open spaces. Take your time to listen to the birdsong and savor each pedal stroke. 🏞️ As you arrive in Alençon , the scenery changes! Its historic center, rich in history and famous for its lace-making, is the perfect spot for a gourmet break. A local pastry, a coffee on the terrace… The perfect way to recharge before settling in for the night. 🏡 Tonight, enjoy a peaceful retreat at Gîtes des Granges , a haven of tranquility—ideal for relaxing before continuing the journey. In Neuville-sur-Sarthe, take a leisurely stroll along the Sarthe River and let yourself be charmed by the picturesque view of the watermill. 🏰 Then, get back on your bike and shift up a gear to reach Le Mans. This City of Art and History® has much to teach you with its rich historical heritage. Play hide-and-seek in the medieval streets of the Plantagenet City, marvel at the genius and strength of the builders with the imposing Gallo-Roman wall surrounding it, or be awed by the impressive Saint-Julien Cathedral. 🌟 To enchant your evenings, from July to September, the streets light up with the "Nuit des Chimères" (Night of the Chimeras): a treat for the eyes! In Spay, have fun at the Spaycific Zoo with its mammal and bird species, or try wakeboarding before relaxing on the beach. 🌳 We continue the route at a leisurely pace, and after a few kilometers, we arrive at Fillé. On the MoulinSart island, discover the world of milling at the Cyprien mill, relax in front of the contemporary exhibition at the Art Center, or take a break at the mill's bistro. 🌊 In Roëzé-sur-Sarthe, La Vélobuissonnière invites us to enjoy the water: canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding, or even pedal boating with the family for guaranteed laughs. The more adventurous will try the eFoil, electric surfing, and rise above the water. A little history lesson awaits at the château, where the revamped scenography immerses you in the world of King René, a unique knight-artist.
